The food culture in Africa has a lot of delicious specialties. We are rethinking these specialties and creating them vegan. With the African Safari spice mix, your dish is guaranteed to be a highlight.
Ingredients
- Easy To Mix Meatball
- 2 heaped teaspoons of African Safari Spice
- 2 tbsp peanut oil
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 10g ginger
- 1 fresh chili pepper
- 1 carrot
- 1 can (400g) coconut milk
- 150g peanut butter
- 1 tsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt pepper
- 1 lime for serving
- Some fresh coriander for serving
- Unsalted peanuts
preparation
- Mix the Easy To Mix meatball according to the instructions and add 1 teaspoon of African Safari Spice. Cool for 30 minutes.
- Chop the onions, ginger, garlic and carrot very finely and fry them in a pan with a little peanut oil for a few minutes. Then add the tomato paste and chili pepper.
- Deglaze with the coconut milk and stir in the peanut butter.
- Season with salt, pepper, cumin and 1 teaspoon African Safari Spice. Season with the brown sugar. If the sauce is too thick, add a little water.
- Take the mixture out of the fridge and form balls out of it.
- Fry the balls in a separate pan with a little oil until the desired degree of browning.
- Serve the balls with sauce and rice. Garnish the portions with coriander and peanuts and a little lime juice
