Many of our vegan meat alternatives are made from pea proteins. As a sustainable company, we see it as our duty to source our products locally wherever possible.

We are now one step closer to this in collaboration with Baywa. In spring 2023 we were able to start growing our own peas. A total of 11 farmers in Bavaria and Thuringia now grow our GREENFORCE peas on 130 hectares . With the first pea harvest in late summer, we can expect a yield of around 300 to 400 tons of raw material . We need approx. 300 peas per Easy To Mix product.

The common goal is to build a transparent and sustainable value chain for regionally produced, vegan food.

Why peas?

Through their root system, peas manage to bind atmospheric nitrogen in the soil and make it available to plants. The pea only needs part of the bound nitrogen itself, leaving the rest in the soil for the subsequent crop. This means there is no need to add artificial nitrogen in the form of fertilizer. The amount of nitrogen fertilizer required can even be reduced for the following crop.

Pea cultivation is also worthwhile for biodiversity reasons. A pea field is home to millions of soil creatures and insects. 🐜

Our products are available in their most sustainable form as Easy To Mixes in powder form in our online shop. But also as a fresh product for snacking in the refrigerated section of supermarkets. Take a look at our store finder .

Our mix products are:

✅ particularly long-lasting thanks to its powder form,

✅ can be stored without a cold chain, which allows us to save resources,

✅ very easy to portion, which reduces food waste,

✅ 100% vegan - which means we can make an essential contribution to environmental protection. According to a study, a person can save up to two tons of greenhouse gases through a vegan diet, which is equivalent to around eight short-haul flights.

In addition to the fact that we grow our own peas and source them locally wherever possible, we also make sure that other things are as green as possible.

Our peas are largely grown in Bavaria and Thuringia. Further processing and production of all products also takes place in Germany. From there they will be delivered to your home with our climate-neutral partner DHL Go Green.

We also guarantee a long best-before date thanks to the powder form of the products. We sometimes sell goods with a shorter best-before date in order to save them from the trash. Avoiding food waste is important to us, which is why we offer our products at a discount.

The Easy To Mix products can be individually portioned and can be prepared and seasoned as desired. We offer authentic taste, whether egg substitute or burger - it tastes really good. 💚
