Conclusion: Rethinking fashion

It is impressive how much progress the fashion industry has made towards sustainability. There are now many alternatives to classic fast fashion that are both stylish and environmentally friendly. Brands such as Armedangels, Lanius, Jan 'n June, Alma & Lovis and Lovjoi show that it is possible to produce sustainable fashion that not only looks good, but is also produced ethically and ecologically responsibly.

Despite these positive developments, no new item of clothing is truly sustainable. It is important to think carefully before buying something new. Repairing, upcycling, second-hand shopping or hosting swap parties with friends are great alternatives that help protect the environment and save resources. Together, we can contribute to a more sustainable fashion world.
