The classic vegan Christmas bakery! Let yourself be won over by this fluffy, juicy Christmas stollen and bring it with you to the next celebration - everyone will love it! Covered in a thick layer of powdered sugar and the winter drink spice, it goes perfectly with cozy pre-Christmas afternoons on the couch.
30 minutes (+3h baking and rising time)
2 studs
500 g wheat flour
A cube of fresh yeast
130 ml oat drink
120g sugar
270 g margarine soft
50 g marzipan raw mixture
1 ½ tsp cinnamon
½ tsp ginger powder
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
2 tsp winter drink spice
150g raisins
100 g orange peel
50 g chopped almonds
50 ml orange juice
50g powdered sugar
1 tsp winter drink spice
Pour the orange juice over the raisins, orange peel and almonds, stir and set aside
Prepare and warm oat drink according to instructions. Add 1 teaspoon of the sugar, crumble in the yeast and stir until dissolved
Place the flour with the remaining sugar in a large bowl and mix. Make a well in the middle, pour the oat drink into it and leave it covered for 10 minutes.
In the meantime, in a small bowl, add 200g of the margarine, ginger, cinnamon,
Mix the orange peel and marzipan (cut into pieces in advance) with the dough mixer
Pour this mixture into the bowl with the flour and the oat drink. Add the winter drink spice - mix everything with the dough hook, then knead in the sieved dried fruit mixture by hand and knead for another 5 minutes until a homogeneous dough is formed
Let rise in a warm place for 2 hours
Divide the dough into two equally sized pieces and form two rolls. Let rise on a baking tray for another 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 175 °C top and bottom heat. Bake the stollen for 40-50 minutes.
Meanwhile, mix the powdered sugar with the winter drink spice
Melt the margarine and spread it over the baked stollen while it is still hot, then dust generously with the powdered sugar mixture
