How about vegan wontons in fiery chili oil today? For the delicious recipe we use our Easy To Mix meatball powder, which is refined with ginger, garlic and chives, among other things.
60 minutes
25-30 pieces
For the wontons:
1 pack of Easy To Mix Meatball
1 package wonton dough (thawed)
2cm ginger (peeled)
1 clove of garlic
3 tbsp sesame oil (for preparing Easy To Mix)
1 tsp soy sauce
½ tsp sugar
½ tsp salt
½ tsp 5-spice spice mix
1 bunch of chives
For the chili oil:
6 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp Chinkiang Black Rice Vinegar (alternatively vinegar)
9 tbsp chili oil (e.g. Lao Gan Ma Crispy Chili Oil)
5 tbsp sesame oil
1 bunch of coriander
Peel and chop the ginger and garlic.
Wash the chives and cut them very finely.
Mix the Easy To Mix meatball powder dry with ginger, garlic, chives and the remaining ingredients for the wontons.
Add sesame oil and water and mix thoroughly.
After the cooling time, fill the wontons (see pictures): Place about a full teaspoon of prepared mixture in the middle of a wonton sheet and shape as desired.
Place the filled wontons in a pot of boiling water. Cook for about 5-6 minutes. When the wontons float to the surface of the water, they are done.
Meanwhile, prepare the chili oil: Roughly chop the coriander and set some aside for garnish. Mix all ingredients together.
Ladle the finished wontons into a bowl or deep plate without water.
Mix the wontons with the mixed chili oil.
Garnish and enjoy!
