Preparing the vegan frikandel is so easy:
1. Thoroughly mix 150 g powder with 300 ml very cold water.
2. Leave the mixture to soak in the fridge for approx. 30 minutes.
3. Using moistened hands, first form balls from the cool mixture and then roll them into approx. 2 cm thin frikandels.
Tip: To roll out evenly, work on a firm surface.
4. Then fry the frikandels over a low to medium heat with a little cooking oil in a non-stick frying pan until the desired degree of browning.
38% partially deoiled sunflower seeds, thickener: methyl cellulose, fiber: citrus fiber, corn granules, pea protein, rice granules, table salt, flavors, onion, caramel powder (caramel sugar syrup, maltodextrin), spices.

“Frikandel” sounds a bit like the popular German "Frikadelle", doesn’t it? And not without reason: The two names actually have the same origin, from the Italian “frittatella”, meaning “fried”.
Despite the similar names, these two products are different: The Dutch Frikandel is a sausage-like dish, but without skin and made of minced meat. From now on, you can enjoy this classic completely cruelty-free and bring tradition to your plate. 😉
Frikandel Speciaal is a typical Dutch recipe. This is how you enjoy your Frikandel the traditional way. Cut open and filled with ketchup, mayo and onions. Very simple, but delicious!
